Where the Red Fern Grows is about this boy named Billy Coleman who really wants some dogs. One day when he is walking, he finds an article that says that there are coon hounds for sale. For two years he works and saves enough money to buy them. Throughout this story, you will venture upon mountain lions, bullies, coons, sadness, and most of all friendship, love, and loyalty.
