Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

This book is about a girl named Raina. Her life was going fine until during girl scouts, she tripped and broke her front two teeth. One of the teeth got pushed up into her gum, and the other one broke off. Now she's always having her new braces being taken on and off every day. Also, so many more problems are happening in school. She's having no good worthless friends and being embarrassed in front of the whole entire school. What's going to happen next? Well you'll have to read the book to find out about that! I really recommend this book to everybody.

I love this book

I love the comics and i love the book.

Smile is about a 6th grade girl that goes through struggle of loosing her teeth from a gory fall! She goes through all different dentist pains and pulls but finally her teeth are back and ready the end of the year photo! Purr- fect timing!

This is a graphic novel about a girl named Raina. She just wanted to have a normal life as a child, but something tragic happened. She fell down and and broke her her front teeth. Therefore, she has to go through a lot of embarrassing process for a elementary kid. Surgery, headgear, fake teeth, braces. Those had made her childhood not as easy as she thought. It's a basic example of peer pressure, when a girl just wanted to fit in, but instead, something opposite responded. This is a real story by the author, Raina Telgemeier. I can relate to this to my real life perfectly. Since I faced peer pressure before when I can't do what I want, and have to do something I don't want because of being afraid getting kicked out. This is a really interesting book recommended to age from 10-12. It's really funny, it will definitely bring you to a good mood. Enjoy!

This book makes me feel grateful that even though I have braces, I'm lucky that nothing really bad happened to my teeth
