I read this book and it is very good. I loved it a lot. Especially because... my cousin has autism too. Just like Catherine's little brother, so I can really relate to the book.

Twelve-year-old Catherine just wants a normal life. Which is near impossible when you have a brother with autism and a family that revolves around his disability. She's spent years trying to teach David the rules-from "a peach is not a funny-looking apple" to "keep your pants on in public"-in order to stop his embarrassing behaviors. But the summer Catherine meets Jason, a paraplegic boy, and Kristi, the next-door friend she's always wished for, it's her own shocking behavior that turns everything upside down and forces her to ask: What is normal?

Catherine wants a "normal" life but that's nearly impossible with a autistic brother. He loves rules and Catherine copes as best she can. But after a meeting new neighbor and a disabled new friend, Catherine realizes, what is normal?
omg! i love this book! It's just so nice how Catherine cares for her brother and teaches him new things!! It's an amazing book!
In Rules, Catherine a 12 year old girl is put in charge to help take care of her little 8 year old brother who is suffering from autism. Catherine manages to juggle her life and David's life by writing rules to follow instead of repeating them to David.
It's a really good book and you guys should really need it.
its about a girl whos brother who has austism. Its a very good book. I have 2 cousions a a close family friend that has austism. If you say the word Retarded you are offending people who love someone with austism!
Rules is really good! It's a great account of life from another's point of view. I think it's a great choice for any fellow bookworm. If I were to rate it on a 1-5 scale, I'd give Rules a 4.5.
