From Raina Telgemeier, the #1 New York Times bestselling, multiple Eisner Award-winning author of Smile and Sisters!

Callie loves theater. And while she would totally try out for her middle school's production of Moon over Mississippi, she can't really sing. Instead she's the set designer for the drama department's stage crew, and this year she's determined to create a set worthy of Broadway on a middle-school budget. But how can she, when she doesn't know much about carpentry, ticket sales are down, and the crew members are having trouble working together? Not to mention the onstage AND offstage drama that occurs once the actors are chosen. And when two cute brothers enter the picture, things get even crazier!

This was a fantastic Graphic Novel. It shows how feelings develop and what happens when they do. Some people may have feelings for someone else the same gender as themselves and may even feel a little bit embarrassed about it. But they came out to show the world that they are proud of who they are. And that is what make s it an amazing book with wonderful characters and splendid drawings and dialogue.

Drama is about a girl named Callie who loves theater, and would audition for the play. However, she can't sing. Instead, she becomes the designer for the stage crew. She wants to make the play the best with just the budget the school can afford. This will not be as easy as it seems, with drama occuring offstage and troubles occuring at the night of the show. Overall, I think that this book was really good. I recommend it to people who enjoy other books written by this author. I rate this book 5/5.

Ioved it

Raina Teglemeier brings back her magic to the world of graphic novels in her newest comic book, "Drama," featuring main protagonist Callie. Callie is a sprite, eager, fun junior whose life revolves around being on her school's backstage theater crew. When passing out flyers for their show, "Moon Over Mississippi," she meets Justin and Jesse, two talented twins that love theater as well. However, when secrets, rumors, fights, and crushes incite full-out high school drama, it's all the crew can do to get to the final show. In this spellbinding book, individualities are accepted, couples fight, and dreams come true.

In this graphic novel by Raina Telgemeier (author of Smile, Sisters, and the Baby-Sitters Club graphic novels), a girl named Callie works as the set designer for her school's spring play. When two boys named Jesse and Justin, they become friends. Things get a little complicated, plus the Stage Crew members are having trouble working together. Will the play be a huge success or a major DRAMAFEST?! Read this book to find out! BTW, if you liked this book, you should read Smile and Sisters.

Drama is a book about a theater girl named Callie. She faces challenges relating to theater, boys, leading to, well, Drama. I recommend this book for young preteens as it is a good example.
