A publisher in New York asked me to write down what I know about the Greek gods, and I was like, Can we do this anonymously? Because I don't need the Olympians mad at me again. But if it helps you to know your Greek gods, and survive an encounter with them if they ever show up in your face, then I guess writing all this down will be my good deed for the week.

So begins Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, in which the son of Poseidon adds his own magic--and sarcastic asides--to the classics. He explains how the world was created, then gives readers his personal take on a who's who of ancients, from Apollo to Zeus. Percy does not hold back. "If you like horror shows, blood baths, lying, stealing, backstabbing, and cannibalism, then read on, because it definitely was a Golden Age for all that."

Dramatic full-color illustrations throughout by Caldecott Honoree John Rocco make this volume--a must for home, library, and classroom shelves--as stunning as it is entertaining.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Some grown ups might classify it as a young adult book with reason, but altogether it tells a bunch of great, humorous stories about the gods/goddesses. People who love comedy or greek mythology should 100% read this book. Again, I HIGHLY recommend it. : )

Pretty good book. Percy's commentary definitely makes this book even better. This book is about the greek gods. The book includes some stories about the gods. About the gods. And Percy's totally "unbiased" opinions.

THIS IS AMAZING!! Rock Riordan uses sarcasm, funny dialogue, and understandable language to engage kids to read about history, just like Rush Limbaugh. With Percy narrating and easy script and illustrations, this is a wonderful book for readers of Greek mythology.

It is really truly hilarious how the author, Rick Riordan describes the gods in Perry's sarcastic context, and it is very funny because be makes it a fun way to learn about the Greek gods in a kid-friendly, non-boring way. Also, it is completely and utterly perfect in every single way. Once again Rick Riordan tells history in a charming and witty way, just like Rush Limbaugh!!

Great book! I totally recommend, this is told by Rick Riordan's signature humor. If you're into Greek Myths, then you should definitely read this. It is a great book.
