If you were born only to help your sister, how would you feel? Are you a human being or a experiment? Those are the questions of Anna's life. Born to help her sister Kate, who has ACL (a type of cancer), Anna has donated bone marrow, cells, and blood to her sister for thirteen years--and she's finally sick of it. On a wild-goose chase to get a firm from famed lawyer Campbell Alexander, and several attempts to convince her parents, Anna must find a way to save both her life and her sister's. I would rate this book a four point seven, even though most would give it five. Why? Too many complicated words. Personally I could read it no problem, but I recommended it to a friend who said she couldn't understand it at all. So for younger readers keep working you vocabulary if you want to read this!
I really enjoy reading this book, it's a really sweet, warm and family love story. It's basically about a teenage girl, Kate, got a cancer and her mom is going to use her little sister, Anna's bone to save Kate, but it might also kill Anna, too. After Kate, Anna, and their older brother know about it, Kate told them to sue their parents, and then on the court, I think at last their parents won, but they also didn't replace Kate's bone with Anna's too, because they found out that it's a hurt to Anna. I really like how the family love are in the story at last, because at last, the mom shaved her hair off just to be like Kate and not letting her feel different, so people won't be looking at her in a different way. I really enjoy reading this book a lot, I think this is one of my favorite book, and I would want to read it again. :)
This book looks really good to read.I am running out of books to read, so I really want to try this one.
Anna is a girl made with a purpose. she was made by a geneticist so her sister Kate could have a perfect bone marrow match (u have to have the same blood type). finally, at age thirteen, she's fed up with it and decides to sue her parents for rights to her own body. it took me FOREVERRRR to finish it, but it was DEFINITELY worth the ride! it was well-written on every page and i kept finding myself wanting more. the ending will shock you, and, like me, make you cry. even if the beginning is a little bizarre and hard to understand for you, i can guarantee you that it will get better (and this book was actually turned into a movie that i plan on watching).
