This is probably the best book I've ever read in my life. It fabulously describes an amazing adventure through a world of monsters from two points of view. Astonishing work, Bruce!

From Bruce Coville, the master of tween comic suspense, comes a tale of monsters, the bond between brothers, and saving the world.
Jake's baby brother, LD, may be a monster (complete with fangs and fur!), but together with his best friend, Lily, Jake isn't going to let anything happen to that baby. Even if it turns out LD may be the key to saving the world—or destroying it. Soon Jake and Lily are on a perilous quest through Always October, a land populated with monsters.
Perfect for fans of Bruce Coville's beloved books, such as Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher, the Unicorn Chronicles series, and My Teacher Is an Alien series.
Book Reviews (3)
Warning! This review contains spoilers! Jake's dad left one day, and never came back. Lily's parents abandon her, so she lives with her grandfather. Lily and Jake are best friends. One day Jake find's a baby on his door step, and his mother decides to keep it until they can find its parents. It turns out that the baby turns into a monster on the full moon. What I thought of it: Normally I hate books where kid's dads leave (it turns out his dad really didn't leave), but this one was surprisingly good. Jake and Lily were both great characters. The plot was good and interesting, and the end was unexpected. But I wish they hadn't kept the baby. Overall (despite the fact I normally don't read these kinds of books) it was really good.
This is by FAR the best book I have ever read! It's exciting, a bit challenging, and has a good ending!.The only part I didn't like was was when it ended, I wanted to read more!
