For the last four days, San Diego, CA has been host to one of the world's most popular conventions - Comic Con International, an event dedicated to comics, science fiction and fantasy. While children are welcome at this event, it is more populated with adults behaving like kids!

Started 41 years ago, by comic enthusiast Shel Dorf, as a place to showcase comic books, science fiction and film/television, the event has now grown to include a larger genre of elements like horror, anime, video games, amimation and even toys.

The convention, which lasts four days and attracts more than 125,000 people from all over the world, is now also the venue for companies to introduce exciting new media products and provide eager audiences with glimpses of new comics, movies and video games.

This year's event, which was attended by celebrities like Angelina Jolie (Kung Fu Panda) and Robert Downey, Jr. (Ironman) was no exception. Disney showed a premier of it's upcoming 'Avatar'- like super cool effects movie, Tron Legacy, while Marvel announced Mark Ruffalo as the successor to Ed Norton for the sequel to the Incredible Hulk, dubbed, 'The Avengers'.

Video Game enthusiasts weren't disappointed either - Developers from Hasbro International were there to discuss the next Transformers game, as were the folks behind the popular Halo series who debuted their latest offering - Halo Reach, scheduled for release in September. Also present were the developers of popular PSP 3 teen game, InFamous, who gave the attendees a glimpse into the creative process, as well as, a first look at InFamous 2.

While there were many similar exciting events and presentations, as well as, endless displays of collectible toys, comics and film memorabilia, the highlight of the four-day event is the opportunity for adults to dress up in the most outrageous costumes, without anyone raising an eyebrow and tut tutting about their childish behavior!
