With Christmas approaching rapidly, most of you have probably written your letters to Santa with a list of all the toys you really really need! While nobody but the big man knows what is in that secret list, some 'experts' on Earth are professing to be able to read your minds and predict what you have asked for - But only you can tell us if that is correct . . . . . . .

So without further ado, here is the list of the 'Hottest Toys for 2009'

Zhu Zhu Pets Hamsters

These life-like hamsters are apparently the year's most wanted toys. The four unique looking toys are battery powered and programmed to make 40 different sounds, whilst scooting around. The toys also come with many accessories including a 'fun' house which has a special sensor that will 'tell' the hamster what 'room' they are in enabling them to make appropriate sounds.

Bakugan 7 in 1 Maxus Dragonoid

The latest in the series of Bakugan toys, this one offers not one, but seven toys disguised as one. Based on the Vestoria (show's second season), the stand-alone game combines seven different Bakugans - one real, the rest traps. You can play with all or combine them into one giant Bakugan Dragonoid robot!

Eyeclops Mini Projector

Create your own big-screen extravaganza or a giant sized gaming arcade, with this tiny projector that can display an image to a screen size of up to 60" - The best part is, it works with not only the DVD player, but most home entertainment devices, like the iPod, iPhone and various gaming consoles. Also, since it is so tiny, it can be carried almost anywhere you go!

Battle Strikers - Turbo Tops

While the Battle Strikers Tops have been around for years, these new Turbo Tops are quite amazing. Instead of using cords or strings they work off magnets that help you control your top and battle your opponent. Even more cool is that using the magnet equipped controller, you can 'jump' your top, attack the other top, or simply dodge it. With each top being able to reach speeds of up to 7500RPM, the latter may be an option you might be glad to have!

Jakks Candy Bead Studio

Sure to satisfy all creative kids with a sweet tooth (all of you?), the toy allows you to create edible jewelry and comes with candy beads, candy pendants, candy rings . . . . You get the picture!

Transformers: Revenge of the Constructicon Devastator

Rumored be the biggest DECEPTICON ever, it comprises of six construction machines that can be played with separately or combined to re-enact scenes from the exciting Transformer sequel. While there are no battles to be fought or won, the toy does have awesome lights and sounds!

Mind Flex

This 'Harry Potter' inspired toy allows you to control games using just the power of your mind! Touted as the successor to the WII, the 'toy' is actually a headset that measures 'brainwave' activity and then allows the player to control a small ball through an obstacle course, by simply focusing or relaxing. It comes with five game modes and includes a multi-player - incase, you want to challenge your parents for a duel of the minds!

Harumika Runaway Shopper Set

If you are an aspiring fashion designer, this is probably on your list of picks. The set comes with everything that you would need to create a runaway line of clothing, including a selection of fabrics, rhinestones, stickers and even a mannequin to try on your creations - all miniature of course! If that's not enough, it even includes a USB camera so that you can take pictures of your creations and show them off to your buddies.

Tiana 'Just One Kiss' Doll

Disney's latest princess Tiana from 'The Princess And the Frog' is guaranteed to make the list of most princess-loving girls - And this is not just a beautiful doll, but one that interacts with her frog prince. Dressed in stunning blue gown, she comes with 'Prince Naveen' allowing kids to re-visit a scene from the movie. When the frog prince is brought close to her for a kiss, Tiana re-enacts the scene from the movie, with the exact lines until, the fourth kiss when her dress lights up with firefly lights and makes magical sounds.

6 in 1 Solar Kit

A must have for all you 'green' kids. The fun kit allows you to construct (simply snap together), six miniature solar-powered toys including a solar powered car, puppy, a plane that actually flies around and, an airboat.

So did any of these make your list or did you like them enough to pen another letter to Santa? You do know that even last minute orders are fulfilled - right?

Do they even make any of these toys anymore? BTW, I did not get any of these, but I know which ones I would have gotten had I known about them. I would have asked for the Shopper Set, the Bead Studio, the Mind Flex, and the Hamsters.
